Profile: Dr Sneh Khemka is medical director of Bupa International and an expert in eye medicine and surgery.

Sneh (MBChB MRCOphth) trained as a doctor in the UK before qualifying as a general surgeon, and specialising in ophthalmic surgery. Ophthalmology is the branch of medicine dealing with the anatomy, functions and treatment of the eye.
His role in Bupa International is to promote and drive the medical agenda of the company, and to ensure we are doing all we can to help our customers lead longer, healthier, happier lives.
He has worked with and inspected hospitals throughout the world - from Papua New Guinea to China and Southern India - and has seen the great diversity of healthcare found in different geographies.
Sneh also works as an expedition medic, supporting charities, such as MacMillan Cancer and Asthma UK. He has climbed three of the world’s highest mountains, crossed the Arctic circle on husky dogs, trekked across the Sahara and cycled across Mexico, Cuba and Vietnam.
Through his international medical work, he has witnessed first hand some of the planet’s most pressing health issues and, through his articles and videos, hopes to share that experience with all Bupa customers.
