Meet our Medical Centre team
More than 90 people - including doctors, evacuation specialists and emergency officers - work in Bupa International’s Medical Centre. They handle more than 150,000 calls and emails every year.
From natural disaster evacuation to authorising payment for treatment, our medical and emergency experts are trained to cope with all sorts of challenges.
Here you can meet three of the people who are ready to help you 24 hours a day.
Doctor

Steffen Lyduch: Our doctors are all tried and tested to make sure they know our customers’ needs. There is nothing that is too small for us to handle. We know what it means to be far away from home, because we have been there ourselves.
Emergency service officer

Barbara Wassard: I have travelled throughout the world and draw a lot from my own experiences. If you are in a foreign country, we can guide you through your problems and make sure you get the best assistance.
Evacuation specialist

Yasir Ahmed: The skill in my job is to expect the unexpected. Because we have many customers in Africa and Asia it is important to know what's logistically possible when we have to evacuate someone.
