Out-patient benefits

Out-patient treatment Hide

• Doctors’ fees for consultations
• Pathology, x-rays and diagnostic tests
• Consultants’ fees for psychiatric treatment
• Consultants’ fees for opthamology (including one eyesight check-up per year)
• Out-patient surgical operations
• MRI and CT scans
• Consultants’ fees and diagnostic tests for oncology

Costs relating to all of the above out-patient medical services are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When treatment is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, 90 percent of costs are reimbursed.

Dental treatment Hide

Routine dentistry that include check-ups, extractions and hygienist services

Costs relating to eligible routine dental treatment are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When treatment is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, €500 of benefit is available for dental emergencies only.

Speech therapy Hide

Costs of speech therapy treatment are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When treatment is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, treatment costs are not covered.

Costs relating to the above in-patient medical services are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When treatment is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, 90 percent of costs are reimbursed.

Emergency local road ambulance Hide

Costs relating to emergency local road ambulance services are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When this service is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, 90 percent of costs are reimbursed.

Maternity cover Hide

Costs relating to maternity are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When this service is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, €5,000 of benefit is available.

New born care Hide

Costs relating to new born care and treatment are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When these services are received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, 90 percent of costs are reimbursed.

Prosthesis Hide

Costs relating to prosthetic treatment are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When these services are received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, €5,000 of benefit is available.

Second medical opinion Hide

Costs for second medical opinions are covered in full when received in or out of the Sanitas network.

Podiatry Hide

Costs relating to podiatry treatment are covered in full when received within the Sanitas network. When treatment is received outside the Sanitas network and/or in your designated second country, costs are not covered.

Optional dental benefit details

Comprehensive dental cover Hide

You will be entitled to 100 percent cover for a wide variety of preventive procedures, as well as for the majority of diagnostic tests, general cleaning, fluoridations, consultations and x-rays.
