Worldwide Evacuation is for when you need treatment that isn’t available locally. You can be evacuated to the nearest suitable hospital or repatriated to your home country, so you can be treated in familiar surroundings near your family and friends.

What it covers

Worldwide Evacuation cover includes:

  • medical evacuation
  • medical repatriation
  • travel costs for accompanying person
  • travel costs for the transfer of minor children
  • living allowance
  • repatriation of mortal remains
  • compassionate visit by a close relative

Medical evacuation Hide
  • Transfer to the nearest place where the treatment you need is available, if it is not available locally. This could be in another part of the country you are in or another country, and includes your return journey

Level of cover: paid in full

Medical repatriation Hide
  • Option to transfer to a hospital in your country of nationality or country of residence for treatment, and includes your return journey

Level of cover: paid in full

Travel cost for an accompanying person Hide
  • A relative or partner can accompany you on your transfer, if there is a reasonable need for someone to go with you

Level of cover: paid in full

Travel cost for the transfer of minor children Hide
  • If children under the age of 18 will be left without a parent or guardian in the event of your evacuation or repatriation, then they can be transferred with you

Level of cover: paid in full

Living allowance Hide
  • A daily allowance towards living expenses for the relative or partner who is accompanying you following an evacuation for treatment when you must stay in hospital

Level of cover: for a maximum of 10 days each membership year, each day up to GBP 100 / EUR 125 / USD 170

Repatriation of mortal remains Hide
  • Transfer of your mortal remains either to your home country or to your specified country of residence

Level of cover: lifetime limit, up to GBP 6,500 / EUR 8,125 / USD 11,050

Compassionate visit and return Hide
  • Travel expenses for a close relative who is in another country to visit when you have a sudden accident or illness or you have received a short-term terminal prognosis

Level of cover: each membership year, up to GBP 800 / EUR 1,000 / USD 1,360. Five trips lifetime limit

Compassionate visit living allowance Hide
  • A daily allowance towards living expenses for your relative when they are on an eligible compassionate visit

Level of cover: for a maximum of 10 days each visit, each day up to GBP 100 / EUR 125 / USD 170
