Competition terms & conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all competitions which are run by Bupa International (unless we state otherwise). For details of the legal identity of Bupa International please review the Legal notices. Bupa International is the promoter of these competitions.

You accept these terms and conditions when you enter a competition, together with any specific terms for such competition which may be mentioned in any messages or on this website (“competition information”). If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions then you should not enter the competition. If there is any inconsistency between these competition terms and conditions and any such competition information, the competition information shall prevail.

These terms and conditions may be amended or varied from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this website. We recommend that you review these terms and conditions each time you enter a competition.

Entry

• This competition is only open to persons aged 18 or older who are resident in a country where it is lawful to enter this competition. You are responsible for ensuring that it is lawful for you to enter this competition. If you are concerned about this then we recommend you seek legal advice.
  
• Bupa International reserves the right to ask for proof of age and evidence to verify the identity of an entrant at any time, and may use any channels and methods available to carry out checks of any details provided.
  
• In order to enter, eligible entrants must answer the question or complete the task as indicated in the competition information. The opening and closing date and time for entries is as indicated in the competition information. Any entries received before or after these times will be discounted.
  
• Bupa International will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it, in full, for any reason, by the closing time, whether lost, delayed, corrupted in transit, or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.
  
• Each person can only enter this competition once, and no bulk entries will be accepted.
  
• These terms and conditions shall be interpreted in accordance with English law.

The Prize

• The prize is as specified in the competition information.
  
• In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Bupa International reserves the right to vary the prize without prior notice. However, any alternative prize will be of equal or greater value than the prize detailed above.

The Winner

• The process for determining the winner of the prize is as indicated in the competition information. Where the winner is randomly selected, the prize draw for the winner will take place on the date indicated in the competition information. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  
• The winner will be notified within a reasonable period after the date for determining the winner, or as otherwise indicated in the competition information. He/she will be contacted on the phone number or email or postal address provided when entering the competition. The winner will have a specified fixed time period in which to claim his or her prize. Failure to claim the prize within this period and/or provide an address for delivery of the prize may result in forfeiture of the prize. In that event, Bupa International reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant until a winner is found.
  
• Bupa International reserves the right in its sole discretion to withhold delivery of the prize until proof of eligibility and identity of the entrant has been confirmed.

Privacy Statement

• Bupa International (or any third party nominated by Bupa International) may use the winner’s (and (if applicable) their companion’s) name and image and their comments relating to the prize and competition experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes within Bupa International's group of companies in any media worldwide without notice or without any fee being paid.
  
• Personal information which is provided by entrants when they enter will be held and used by Bupa International, and its group of companies and their suppliers and contractors, in order to administer the competition. Aggregated, non personal data may also be used for the purpose of undertaking market research or in facilitating reviews, developments and improvements to relevant services.
  
• Any personal information will only otherwise be used in accordance with Bupa International's data protection statement in the Legal notices.

Your confirmation

By entering a Bupa International competition, you will be deemed to: (i) have accepted these Terms and Conditions, (ii) confirm that any information you submit in your online survey is accurate and relates only to yourself; and (iii) agree to participate in any reasonable publicity arranged by Bupa International including the publication of your name and photograph in various media including on the internet.
